{"id":126796,"date":"2024-08-04T20:47:28","date_gmt":"2024-08-04T19:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/bauchi-police-arrest-20-year-old-for-armed-robbery"},"modified":"2024-08-04T23:56:37","modified_gmt":"2024-08-04T22:56:37","slug":"bauchi-police-arrest-20-year-old-for-armed-robbery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/bauchi-police-arrest-20-year-old-for-armed-robbery","title":{"rendered":"Bauchi: Police arrest 20-year-old for armed robbery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended a 20-year-old, Usama Mohammed, on for alleged criminal conspiracy, trespass and armed robbery.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest was disclosed in a statement made available to journalists on Sunday by the spokesman of the Command, SP Ahmed Wakili.<\/p>\n<p>Wakili explained that the arrest followed a distress call from a victim on August 2, 2024, who reported a home invasion by four armed robbers wielding knives and cutlasses around 9:40 pm.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the robbers stole an Itel A70 mobile phone valued at \u20a675,000 and a Huawei phone valued at \u20a630,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpon receiving the call, a team of detectives, led by the DPO of Giade Division, rushed to the scene and arrested Usama Mohammed, while the other members of his gang remained at large.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEfforts are ongoing to locate the remaining suspects and bring them to justice,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmed Wakili further stated that the Commissioner of Police, Auwal Musa Mohammed, has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigative Department, SCID, for a discreet investigation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About Nigeria Follow Africa-Press<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
