Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom and three others have been suspended by the Benue Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over alleged anti-party activities.<\/p>\n

Chief Ortom\u2019s sack emanated from the meeting of the State Working Committee, SWC, of the PDP, in Makurdi.<\/p>\n

Those suspended alongside Ortom are the state Deputy Chairman of PDP, Mr Isaac Mffor and state Publicity Secretary, Mr Bemgba Iortyom.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement on Monday by the Media Consultant of the PDP, Cornelius Hwande.<\/p>\n

Hwande said Ortom was suspended for his choice of the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 election and his statement calling on Benue PDP to vote for APC in the 2027 Presidential election.<\/p>\n

He said the party\u2019s Vice Chairman of Zone A, Azua Ashongo was also suspended for gross insubordination and indiscipline.<\/p>\n

Hwande said the suspension of Mffor and Iortyom was because of their involvement in the snatching of Congress materials meant for the conduct of last Saturday\u2019s ward congresses in Buruku and Ushongo local government areas respectively.<\/p>\n
