Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has condemned Monday\u2019s attack on its state secretariat by miscreants who have taken over the nationwide hunger protest in the State.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement issued by the party\u2019s Publicity Secretary, Mallam Yusuf Idris Gusau and made available to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecall that the APC on Friday, cautioned the PDP-led State government against allowing PDP thugs from venting their anger on the APC and its leaders following the attack on Senator Sahabi Ya\u2019u\u2019s residence in Kaura Namoda.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey also attempted to raze down the immediate past governor and now minister, Matawalle\u2019s residence in Gusau.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe APC has also pleaded with both the State government and security agencies to ensure full protection of people\u2019s lives and property.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we cautioned, the hoodlums have gone haywire, forcefully broke into the APC Secretariat situated along Sokoto Bye Pass Road, Gusau, destroyed the facility, including glasses, doors and carted away furniture and equipment, as well building materials that were kept in the office stores.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey also looted the mini secretariat at the back of the main office, where all the furniture, computers and refrigerators and other valuables were carted away.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wish to categorically state that this action is unacceptable and condemnable.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are calling on the security agencies to immediately apprehend and bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act to book.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur members, supporters and well wishers have continued to remain peaceful and law abiding, but that is not a sign of weakness,\u201d he cautioned.<\/p>\n
