Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, has reacted to a new movie projected by the leadership of the Inter Party Advisory Council IPAC.<\/p>\n

The movie, titled, \u201cUnbroken: Two and Half Decades,\u201d is a documentary on Nigeria\u2019s social, political, and economic journey and challenges since 1999.<\/p>\n

The SGF made his opinion on the movie known during a courtesy visit to the Presidential Villa on Monday by IPAC\u2019s Executive Council members led by its National Chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle.<\/p>\n

The SGF commended IPAC leaders for carrying out the project and assured them of the government\u2019s support to ensure that the movie reached both old and new generations of Nigerians.<\/p>\n

He highlighted the importance of safeguarding the nation\u2019s emerging democracy and its history.<\/p>\n

He opined that \u201c\u2018History\u201d as a subject be returned to the school curriculum.\u201d<\/p>\n

Senator Akume praised IPAC\u2019s efforts, stating, \u201cThis is a historic effort by IPAC to document the history and preserve the nation\u2019s democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barrister Dan Nwanyanwu, Chairman Steering Committee on 25 Years Democracy and \u201cUnbroken: Two and Half Decades\u201d movie, further highlighted reasons why the government should make the project a national priority.<\/p>\n

IPAC Public Relations Consultant, Dr. Chris Oge Kalu elucidated on the importance of the movie, the timing and various global platforms where the movie will be streamed, promising a global favourable image.<\/p>\n

The movie project, a well-thought-out documentary film, aims to rebrand Nigeria\u2019s image by showcasing major achievements and challenges the country has faced.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnbroken: Two and Half Decades\u201d will be streamed on global platforms including CNN, Netflix and Amazon.<\/p>\n

The Permanent Secretary in the SGF\u2019s office said that the SGF office will support the project for national reorientation.<\/p>\n

IPAC National Chairman, Yusuf Dantalle thanked the SGF for granting the council audience and assured him of top-notch production to meet global standards.<\/p>\n

Council appreciated the government\u2019s support and looked forward to a successful project launch.<\/p>\n
