Falcon Corporation, an indigenous brand in the energy sector, has restated its commitment to curb the menace of unemployment in Nigeria. The firm said it is strategically positioned to create value-adding jobs for the ever-growing population of vibrant youths.
\nManaging Director and Chief Executive Officer, Falcon Corporation, Professor Joe Ezigbo, said this at the 25th-anniversary celebration of the company recently.<\/p>\n
According to him, the firm is fully committed to the local content development aspirations of the nation, stating that from inception, it has operated with a 100% Nigerian workforce, and to date maintains over 68% spend on local products\/services.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe consider our local experience to be a critical asset for the growth of our industry in a sustainable manner and a notable contribution by Falcon Corporation to national development.\u201d<\/p>\n
Recalling how it began its operations, Ezigbo said: \u201cWe started in Port Harcourt from our humble beginning as an Oil Service Company. Our change of operational base, the scope of service and corporate name notwithstanding, our sound moral character, the spirit of enterprise and excellence, resilience and commitment to creating long-term sustainable value has never wavered.<\/p>\n

In her welcome remark, Executive Director and Co-Founder, Falcon Corporation Limited, Mrs. Audrey Joe-Ezigbo re-echoed the challenges of the early days and emphasized the doggedness and determination that kept the organization going over the years.<\/p>\n
One of the guests at the event, Director General of the Budget office of the federation, Ben Akabueze, who commanded the company on the giant stride, said the firm has demonstrated itself as a great inspiration for other visionary Nigerian business owners who in one way or the other are contributing to the remarkable growth of the nation\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
