{"id":129781,"date":"2024-09-03T19:45:14","date_gmt":"2024-09-03T18:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/governor-fintiri-suspects-sabotage-in-adamawa-hospital-store-inferno"},"modified":"2024-09-03T21:01:06","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T20:01:06","slug":"governor-fintiri-suspects-sabotage-in-adamawa-hospital-store-inferno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/governor-fintiri-suspects-sabotage-in-adamawa-hospital-store-inferno","title":{"rendered":"Governor Fintiri suspects sabotage in Adamawa hospital store inferno"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, has inspected a burnt major store at the state-owned Specialist Hospital, Yola, alleging the likelihood of sabotage.<\/p>\n<p>It became public knowledge towards evening on Tuesday that a store of the hospital containing furniture and equipment was torched earlier, in the night of Monday, September 2.<\/p>\n<p>Observers of happenings at the hospital who were quick to recollect that the same store was destroyed by fire in June 2021, concluded that sabotage was likely.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Fintiri voiced the same opinion when he visited the place on Tuesday, saying the Specialist Hospital Yola is a \u201ccollective heritage that should be collectively guarded.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Urging the public to be vigilant against \u201csaboteurs seeking to undermine the well-being of society,\u201d Fintiri said his administration on its part remains steadfast in prioritizing the health sector to ensure the welfare of the people.<\/p>\n<p>Fintiri was accompanied to the scene of the fire by Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta, Secretary to the State Government, Auwal Tukur, among other government officials.<\/p>\n<p>The state Commissioner of Health, Felix Tangwami who was also on the entourage, assured that the affected building is a passive storage for equipment and its destruction will not hamper the provision of health services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About Nigeria Follow Africa-Press<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
