Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The leadership of Deeper Life Church has distanced itself from the claim of a 60-year-old man, Obatayo Adetunji, accused of having carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old girl.<\/p>\n

The suspect had claimed to be a pastor in the church.<\/p>\n

While disclosing that the suspect was not affiliated with the Deeper Life Ministry as a pastor, the church, in a statement issued by Oka Regional Overseer, Pastor Oludu David, condemned alleged rumour circulating on social media that Adetunji was a pastor in the region.<\/p>\n

According to the church, Adetunji is neither a pastor nor a worker at Deeper Life Bible Church in Oka Region, adding that he is not a regular member of Deeper Life Bible Church in Oka Akoko but only sought financial assistance from the church in 2023.<\/p>\n

The church urged the public to disregard the affiliation of the purported pastor.<\/p>\n

Following the development, the suspect was arrested by the men of the state police command after the victim informed her parents about the sexual relationship with the accused person.<\/p>\n

He was later charged to court on three counts bordering on defilement and unlawfully prescribing drugs to procure an abortion for the victim.<\/p>\n
