Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Kalu Aja, a financial analyst and educator, has stated that the country would be in a better position if President Bola Tinubu\u2019s administration and the National Assembly had deployed CNG buses with the same urgency as they did the presidential jet.<\/p>\n

Aja made this comment in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf the NASS and the presidency used the same speed and focus to deploy CNG buses as they did with the new Presidential Private Jet, we would all be in a better place,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Many Nigerians reacted with outrage after a new plane was purchased for President Tinubu at a time when the economy is experiencing a severe crisis.<\/p>\n

The purchase came less than two weeks after thousands of Nigerians took to the streets across the country to protest rising hunger and the cost of living.<\/p>\n

Recently, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited announced a new pump price, increasing the cost of PMS from N617 per liter to N897 per liter.<\/p>\n

This development has also led to a consequential rise in transport fares and the price of goods.<\/p>\n
