Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Three police operatives have been detained over the alleged murder of the ND 2 Electronic Engineering student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Abdulqoyyum Abdulyekeen Ishola.<\/p>\n

The late student was allegedly killed last Wednesday at GRA area of Ilorin metropolis by the arrested police men.<\/p>\n

The three officers were identified as Abiodun Kayode, Inspector James Emmanuel and Sergeant Oni Philip, attached to the department of operations, Kwara state police command.<\/p>\n

A memo with Ref.No CZ.5300\/FpRD\/FHQ\/ABJ\/Voll.6\/230, dated September 9,2024, indicated that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the Homicide section of the FCID Abuja to embark on a detailed and comprehensive investigation into the alleged killing of Abdulqoyyum Abdulyekeen Ishola, which occurred on the 4th of September 2024.<\/p>\n

The officers were consequently detained for investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Inspector-General of Police who is deeply saddened by this unfortunate event that has led to the loss of a young Nigerian, expresses his deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.\u201d<\/p>\n

He acknowledged the profound grief and loss caused by this unfortunate act and reassured the family and members of the public that justice will be served, a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Force headquarters, Abuja, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated.<\/p>\n
