Adeyanju said the extravagant expenditure is unacceptable considering the state\u2019s financial issues.<\/p>\n

He urged the anti-graft agency to probe the contract award process for potential irregularities and compliance with public procurement regulations.<\/p>\n

In a chat with DAILY POST, the activist lawyer said: \u201cI condemn the Bayelsa State Government\u2019s outrageous decision to award a N45 billion contract for a new secretariat complex.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis extravagant expenditure is unacceptable, considering the state\u2019s financial constraints and pressing developmental needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI urge the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to promptly investigate this contract award, ensuring transparency and accountability in the utilization of public funds.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people of Bayelsa State deserve to know how their resources are being allocated.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis lavish spending undermines the trust between the government and its citizens. I call on the EFCC to:<\/p>\n

\u201cInvestigate the contract award process for potential irregularities.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnsure compliance with public procurement regulations.<\/p>\n
