{"id":131080,"date":"2024-09-16T10:30:36","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T09:30:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/federal-high-court-set-to-resume-after-annual-vacation"},"modified":"2024-09-16T11:33:42","modified_gmt":"2024-09-16T10:33:42","slug":"federal-high-court-set-to-resume-after-annual-vacation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/federal-high-court-set-to-resume-after-annual-vacation","title":{"rendered":"Federal High Court set to resume after annual vacation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal High Court will on Tuesday resume after its annual vacation.<\/p>\n<p>The annual vacation, which started on July 23, was expected to end on September 13, however, due to the public holiday declared by the Federal Government to celebrate the Eid-ul-Maulud, court activities will officially kick off on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The Assistant Director of Information\/ICT, of the Federal High Court, Dr Catherine Oby-Christopher, had on July 11 in a statement, said the Chief Judge, Justice John Tsoho, had announced commencement of the court\u2019s annual vacation.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, \u201cBy virtue of the provisions of Order 46, Rule 4 (d) of the Federal High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho, announces its 2024 Annual Vacation and Roster for Vacation Judges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe vacation will commence from July 23 to September 13, 2024. Normal court sitting will resume on 16th September, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is in order for judges to enjoy their well- deserved rest and to prepare for the tasks and activities of the New Legal year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement urged the litigating public to approach Abuja, Lagos and Port-Harcourt divisions of the court for matters of extreme urgency during the period.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Emeka Nwite and Justice Peter Lifu of the Abuja division; Justice Akintayo Aluko and Justice Isaac Dipeolu for Lagos division and Justice A. T. Mohammed and Justice P. M.
