Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>President Bola Tinubu has insisted that he did not contest for the position in order to enrich himself.<\/p>\n

According to Tinubu, he came to \u201cwork\u201d after Nigerians \u201cgave\u201d him their votes.<\/p>\n

The president stated this on Friday, during a meeting with the Forum of Former Presiding Officers of the National Assembly, led by former Senate President, Ken Nnamani.<\/p>\n

Tinubu assured that his administration was determined to deliver tangible results and make a positive difference in various sectors including education and long-term economic stability.<\/p>\n

\u201dI didn\u2019t come to look for money and exploit the situation; I came to work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked for the votes, and Nigerians gave them to me,\u201d Tinubu said.<\/p>\n

In attendance were 16 former presiding officers, including former senate presidents, former speakers of the House of Representatives, former deputy senate presidents, and former deputy speakers of the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n
