Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, have arrested at least three suspected vote buyers in the ongoing governorship election in Edo State.<\/p>\n

According to Channels TV, the suspects were arrested in the Egor Local Government Area of the state around 10:00 am on Saturday.<\/p>\n

EFCC officials left the location with three suspects \u2013 two males and a female.<\/p>\n

But some residents kicked against the arrest, insisting that the suspects were being victimized.<\/p>\n

The commission had prior to the election, warned political parties against vote buying.<\/p>\n
