Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has called on Abuja residents to be vigilant and report suspicious activities ahead of the 2024 Independence Day celebration.<\/p>\n

The Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, made the call in a statement on Monday in Abuja.<\/p>\n

She urged the residents to take advantage of the command\u2019s emergency lines:, 08032003913, 08028940883, 08061581938 and 07057337653 to report suspicious activies in their surroundings.<\/p>\n

The PPRO said the command had strategically deployed adequate personnel and equipment throughout the FCT ahead of the celebration.<\/p>\n

According to her, the deployment was to ensure hitch-free Independence Day celebration in the territory.<\/p>\n

She added that the deployment will include Explosive Ordinance Disposal, EOD, personnel, anti-riot equipment, visibility policing, among others.<\/p>\n

Adeh said traffic diversions would be implemented in areas expected to experience large crowds, including Central Area and Eagle Square.<\/p>\n
