Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>President Bola Tinubu says the economic hardship bedeviling Nigerians is not peculiar to the country, saying it is a global issue.<\/p>\n

The president made the claim in his nationwide broadcast on Tuesday to mark the 2024 Independence Day anniversary.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cThe central concern of our people today is the high cost of living, especially food costs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis concern is shared by many around the globe as prices and the cost of living continue to rise worldwide\u201d.<\/p>\n

President Tinubu, however, assured Nigerians of his administration\u2019s commitment to ensuring that the hardship is alleviated.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy fellow Nigerians, be assured that we are implementing many measures to reduce the cost of living here at home\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Nigerian youths are expected to stage a nationwide protest against hunger and other lingering economic challenges bedeviling them.<\/p>\n
