Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Ahead of the burial of the late President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Senator Ben Obi, Head, burial Planning Committee, says prominent Nigerians have indicated interest to attend the ceremony.<\/p>\n

He said that ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and the five South-East governors along with Yoruba leader, Ayo Adebanjo, among others, would be present during the event.<\/p>\n

The late entrepreneur and politician would be buried on November 1 at his country home at Attah, Imo State.<\/p>\n

Obi, while briefing newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, said governors from the five South-East states had also reaffirmed their support.<\/p>\n

Obi, who was represented at the event by Prof. Ike Ikechukwu, Chairman of Media Sub-committee, said the needed sensitization was ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have continued with the needed sensitization of respected elder statesmen and women, as well stakeholders friends and well-wishers within and outside the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe South-East governors, in their last meeting, reaffirmed their resolve to give our leader the befitting and dignified exit rites he deserves.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is in addition to the support of national stakeholders and a Diaspora community that is currently organizing and projecting other activities in honour of Ahaejiagamba.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs indicated in our earlier exchanges with the media, the series of activities lined up for this purpose will end with his final interment on the 1st of November, 2024,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
