Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus, has said Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has refused to bow to intimidation.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the just concluded local government election in Rivers State, Secondus said Fubara has shown true leadership.<\/p>\n

In a statement released by his media adviser, Ike Abonyi, on Wednesday, Secondus applauded Fubara for upholding democratic principles.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cGovernor Fubara has demonstrated true leadership by standing firm for democracy.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis refusal to bow to intimidation is a testament to his commitment to his people and their future.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former PDP chairman also used the opportunity to urge President Bola Tinubu to work closely with Governor Fubara to protect the critical national assets located in Rivers State.<\/p>\n

He stressed the importance of collaboration between the federal government and Rivers State, given its strategic economic significance.<\/p>\n
