Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi has named Professor Ibrahim Hassan Garba as its new substantive Vice-Chancellor.<\/p>\n

Garba\u2019s selection followed a rigorous process that began after the tenure of former Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulaziz, ended.<\/p>\n

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of ATBU\u2019s Governing Council, Air Commodore Emmanuel K. Jekada (retired), announced Garba\u2019s appointment on Thursday, following the conclusion of the Council\u2019s meeting in Bauchi.<\/p>\n

Jekada explained that the Governing Council approved Garba\u2019s appointment after a detailed selection process that started in February.<\/p>\n

He said the process included advertising the position, screening applicants, and conducting thorough interviews.<\/p>\n

According to him, Garba emerged as the top candidate, surpassing two other finalists for the prestigious role.<\/p>\n

He encouraged the new Vice-Chancellor to strive for excellence and advance the University to new heights.<\/p>\n
