Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, has accused the Nigerian Immigration Service of harassing him at the airport.<\/p>\n

Sowore accused Immigration of attempting to prevent him from leaving Nigeria because his name is on their watchlist.<\/p>\n

He disclosed this in a statement posted on his X page accompanied by a video.<\/p>\n

He wrote: \u201cThe Nigerian Immigration Service #nigimmigration continues to subject me to unwarranted harassment and abuse. Violating my rights repeatedly.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, again, they stopped me on my way out of Nigeria, claiming I am placed on their WATCHLIST!\u201d<\/p>\n

In September, Sowore was arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State.<\/p>\n

He disclosed that upon his arrival, he was detained by the NIS and his international passport was confiscated.<\/p>\n
