Mr Onofiok Luke, the Speaker, Akwa Ibom House of Assembly says Gov. Udom Emmanuel needs another four years in office to complete the urbanisation of Eket town.<\/p>\n

Luke stated this while interacting with youths and women in Eket Senatorial District at Qua Iboe Primary School in Usung Inyang on Sunday.<\/p>\n

He pledged support for the re-election bid of the state governor, explaining that it would enable him complete ongoing projects.<\/p>\n

\n
\n

The speaker explained that the bulk of money that accrued to Akwa Ibom was from the Eket Senatorial District.<\/p>\n

He alleged that there was a game plan for the Eket district not to be developed by the opposition in the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf past governors of the state, from Uyo and Ikot Ekpene senatorial districts governed for eight years respectively, how much more a governor from the producers of wealth in the state.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe also want Gov. Emmanuel of Eket senatorial district to also serve for eight years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Luke urged the people of Akwa Ibom to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them vote for all the PDP candidates in the state.<\/p>\n

Also speaking, Mr Monday Uko, the State Commissioner for Youths and Sport said that the youth of Eket were grassroots mobilisers who would vote massively for the re-election of the governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease let us stand with Gov. Emmanuel so that he can succeed in office for a second term,\u201d Uko said.<\/p>\n
