Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>State governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have ordered feuding members of the party to revert to the status quo.<\/p>\n

Chairman of the forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, issued the directive after a meeting of the governors, which ended in the early hours of Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He said, as a political party, the PDP was bound to have disputes among members but that those challenges could always be resolved.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no crisis. The governors, BoT, and the National Assembly caucus have agreed that the NWC should revert to the status quo,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mohammed said all the suspensions have been nullified.<\/p>\n

By that statement, it means that the PDP\u2019s National Working Committee should restore the suspended officers, and the acting national chairman should also remain.<\/p>\n

Speaking, the suspended acting National Chairman of the party, Umar Damagum confirmed that the crisis was over.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe party is united, and no members of the NWC left before,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Recall that on Friday, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja restrained the PDP National Executive Committee, NEC, from removing Umar Damagum as the Acting National Chairman of the party.<\/p>\n

The court judgment came after suspension and a counter-suspension crisis rocked the party, causing uproar.<\/p>\n
