Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bode George, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu sent his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila to beg him against leaving Nigeria due to his emergence as president.<\/p>\n

George said Tinubu sent Gbajabila to pacify him against leaving Nigeria because they had wronged him.<\/p>\n

He spoke on Wednesday regarding his threat to vacate Nigeria if Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election.<\/p>\n

Featuring on Arise TV\u2019s Morning Show, the PDP chieftain also described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike as his son despite the shenanigan with Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State and the crisis in the PDP.<\/p>\n

According to Goerge: \u201cWike is like a son to me and when I saw the division as an elder of the party from the convention; I spoke with Ayu that you made a public statement that if the presidential candidate comes from the north you would resign but now you are manipulating it, and that was where the crisis started.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is an anomaly to have the presidential candidate and the party chairman from the same zone, people will react to that. I don\u2019t live my life based on Wike.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the campaign period, I stated and meant it that if Tinubu won that election, I was going to get out. Once they heard that, Tinubu sent his Chief of Staff, Gbajabiamila.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe came and said \u2018Ogbon said please don\u2019t be calm, trying to beg. They came with options that they were sorry because they knew they had wronged me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw the shenanigans going on between him and his governor and I called the Chairman of the BoT that it\u2019s important for us to arrange a meeting with Fubara and Wike, to know the problem between the two of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cFubara gave us an appointment and set up a committee where we met with him in Port Harcourt, he told us his side of the story. And, when I called Wike that we must see him; he sir I\u2019m going to China and when I\u2019m back we will see.\u201d<\/p>\n
