{"id":134777,"date":"2024-10-18T23:58:44","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T22:58:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/niger-three-suspects-arrested-over-theft-of-truck-worth-n30m"},"modified":"2024-10-19T01:02:05","modified_gmt":"2024-10-19T00:02:05","slug":"niger-three-suspects-arrested-over-theft-of-truck-worth-n30m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/niger-three-suspects-arrested-over-theft-of-truck-worth-n30m","title":{"rendered":"Niger: Three suspects arrested over theft of truck worth N30m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Three suspects are currently in police net for allegedly stealing a tipper truck worth over N30 million along the Kaduna-Abuja highway in Suleja, Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects are Nura Ibrahim, Adamu Ibrahim and Abdulfatai Ibrahim, all of Kaduna Road, Suleja.<\/p>\n<p>The Niger State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed in Minna, said the three suspects were arrested for joint acts, theft and receiving stolen property.<\/p>\n<p>According to him: \u201cOn October 14, 2024, at about 1 pm, information was received that a tipper truck, white in colour, with engine number 071231, and chassis number AZ1642440082 worth over N30 million was found in a workshop along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, Suleja, and was suspected to be a stolen vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He explained that police operatives attached to Maje Division moved to the scene and discovered that Nura Ibrahim, 37, of Kaduna Road had negotiated to sell the truck to Adamu Ibrahim, aka Dan Borno, who bought the truck at the rate of N9.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey had started selling the vehicle in parts to parts buyers before the arrival of the police at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreliminary investigation revealed that Nura stole the said truck from Lugbe area of FCT to Kaduna Road, while Adamu bought the stolen truck and Abdulfatai aided the transaction,\u201d SP Abiodun disclosed and said further that the suspects are under investigation and will be charged in court as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Abiodun also disclosed that one Jamilu Ismail, 32, of Shaku village, Lapai, was caught with three stolen handsets following an alarm raised by one of his victims.<\/p>\n<p>The phones were recovered from the suspect after he was searched by police officers attached to Maje Division in Suleja Local Government Area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About Nigeria Follow Africa-Press<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
