Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The legal team of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday met with the legal arm of the Department of State Services, DSS.<\/p>\n

The meeting followed the restriction DSS imposed on the Biafra agitator after his last court outing.<\/p>\n

DSS had blocked Kanu from having access to his legal team after he caused an uproar at the Federal High Court in Abuja, where he demanded the recusal of Justice Binta Nyako.<\/p>\n

But the court had threatened to jail the DSS Director General, Adeola Ajayi, if the secret police failed to lift the restriction.<\/p>\n

Amid the blockade, the House of Representatives member from Ikwuano, Umuahia North and South federal constituency, Obi Aguocha, had physically met with Kanu on Thursday, 24th of October 2024, at the DSS facility in Abuja.<\/p>\n

After the meeting, the lawmaker said he had resolved the issue of restrictions placed by the DSS.<\/p>\n

Consequently, Kanu\u2019s legal team, led by counsel Aloy Ejimakor, met with the DSS legal team for two hours.<\/p>\n

Posting on X, Ejimakor wrote: \u201cOfficial press statement: Today, the #MnkLegalTeam met with the legal department of the DSS over the persisting restrictions on Counsel visitation to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe met for over two hours. Enough said for now, because the matter is sub judice.\u201d<\/p>\n
