Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has described as lies from the pit of hell, the allegations that he receives N1.2 billion as security votes for the state.<\/p>\n

He stated this in Akure, the state capital, during the Ondo State governorship election debate put together by Channels Television and its partners.<\/p>\n

The debate was an avenue for the governorship candidates to tell the people their developmental plans for the state.<\/p>\n

Both men, former deputy governors to the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, are running on the platforms of the two leading political parties, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.<\/p>\n

Aiyadatiwa, who is seeking election in the November 16 governorship election, accused the PDP candidate Agboola Ajayi, of telling lies to the whole world about the monthly security allocations.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t just play politics by coming here to the whole world that somebody is drawing N1.2 billion as a security vote. That is a lie from the pit of hell,\u201d he said, without divulging the exact amount he gets as security votes.<\/p>\n

The governor explained that every spending done in government has a budgetary provision for it, arguing that his administration will act above the budget.<\/p>\n

He directed the PDP governorship candidate to crosscheck his information before giving out inaccurate information that could be misleading to the public.<\/p>\n
