{"id":137461,"date":"2024-11-08T08:11:42","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T07:11:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/come-forward-if-youre-yet-to-recover-your-money-ndic-tells-heritage-bank-customers"},"modified":"2024-11-08T09:20:42","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T08:20:42","slug":"come-forward-if-youre-yet-to-recover-your-money-ndic-tells-heritage-bank-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/come-forward-if-youre-yet-to-recover-your-money-ndic-tells-heritage-bank-customers","title":{"rendered":"Come forward if you\u2019re yet to recover your money \u2013 NDIC tells Heritage Bank customers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation, NDIC, has called on customers of the defunct Heritage Bank who are yet to receive payment to come forward and provide their account details.<\/p>\n<p>The Managing Director of NDIC, Bello Hassan, made this call on Thursday during the corporation\u2019s \u2018special day\u2019 event, held on the sidelines of the ongoing 36th Lagos International Trade Fair.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on NDIC\u2019s oversight and regulatory functions, Hassan said the corporation has helped in the liquidation of the failed Heritage Bank and the ongoing recovery and refund of depositors\u2019 funds.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, depositors who are yet to receive their payment should come forward with their BVN, proof of account ownership, identification, and alternative account details.<\/p>\n<p>The NDIC boss said the mandate of the corporation and its commitment is to safeguard depositors from the devastating impact of bank failures by working in collaboration with the CBN.<\/p>\n<p>He added that all licensed banks in the country are safe, stressing that all banks that have their licences not withdrawn by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, are safe and healthy.<\/p>\n<p>The Managing Director also said the NDIC was working tirelessly to ensure continuous safety and soundness in the financial system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClaims can be submitted through various channels including our website, email, and social media platforms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe NDIC is committed to ensuring a stable financial environment that safeguards depositors and builds public confidence, enabling businesses to thrive and contribute to our nation\u2019s economic development,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About Nigeria Follow Africa-Press<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
