Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for workers in Rivers State.<\/p>\n

Joe Ajaero, the NLC National President, made the statement during the NLC National Executive Council meeting in Rivers State on Friday.<\/p>\n

Ajaero also warned that the NLC would not stand by while workers suffer in the state.<\/p>\n

He assured that the NLC would vigorously oppose any actions that might interfere with the payment of workers\u2019 salaries in Rivers State.<\/p>\n

The NLC president urged the judiciary to avoid actions that could lead to self-destruction, warning against decisions that could destabilize the state.<\/p>\n

A Federal High Court recently ordered a halt to the Central Bank of Nigeria and other financial institutions from allowing the Rivers State Government access to state allocations.<\/p>\n
