Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A Surulere Chief Magistrates\u2019 Court in Lagos on Tuesday remanded a 27-year-old tiler, Qudus Kazeem, at the Ikoyi Correctional Center, for allegedly raping his employer\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n

Magistrate Mrs Sanusi Adagun remanded the defendant following his arraignment on a four-count charge of unlawful sexual intercourse, threat to life, obtaining money under false pretences, and stealing.<\/p>\n

Adagun, therefore, directed the prosecutor to duplicate the case file and forward a copy to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.<\/p>\n

She adjourned the case until Dec. 18 for mention.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Reuben Solomon, told the court that the defendant committed the offences sometime in the month of December 2022, at No, 8\/10, Kola John, off Feyintola Giwa St., Surulere, Lagos.<\/p>\n

Solomon alleged that the defendant, who was employed to lay tiles in the apartment of one Mr Damilare Gbadamosi, left his work and forced himself on his employer\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n

According to him, the defendant threatened to ruin the victim\u2019s marriage if she did not send money to him or willingly have intercourse with him.<\/p>\n

Solomon said the alleged offences contravened sections 56 (1) (a), 260, 280 and 314 (1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (NAN)<\/p>\n
