Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has appointed Chief Daniel Osikheme Orbih, the current South-South Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as chairman, Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University, AAU.<\/p>\n

Orbih\u2019s appointment as the chairman of the Governing Council of the state-owned university was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Umar Musa Ikhilor.<\/p>\n

Orbih was named chairman of the seven-man board of the university.<\/p>\n

Other members of the board are<\/p>\n

Martins Osakwe, Prof. Steve Amiemenkharu Iyayi, Lukman Muhammad, Prof. Idialu Jeremiah Uwaifo, Prof. Eric Kelly Inanemo Omogbai and Prof. Omoruyi Ikponmwonse Osahon.<\/p>\n

Ikhilor said the appointment of the Governing Council takes immediate effect from December 31, 2024.<\/p>\n

Orbih is an ally of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, and a former governor of Rivers State.<\/p>\n

Orbih is also the leader of the Legacy Group of the PDP in Edo State.<\/p>\n
