Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, on Thursday swore in five new Permanent Secretaries, urging them to uphold a strict stance against corruption, indiscipline, incompetence, and wastefulness.<\/p>\n

The appointees include Prof. Muazu Shehu Usman (Gombe LGA), Mohammed Bello Abubakar (Akko LGA), Mohammed Yusuf Kulani (Balanga LGA), Ahmed Saidu Guli (Dukku LGA), and Alhassan Ibrahim (Yamaltu Deba LGA).<\/p>\n

Addressing the newly sworn-in officials, Governor Yahaya emphasized the administration\u2019s commitment to integrity and efficiency in governance.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur administration has zero tolerance for corruption, indiscipline, incompetence, and wastefulness. Your service to the state must reflect the goodwill we have extended as we strive for excellence in governance and service delivery,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The governor underscored the critical role of permanent secretaries in the civil service, describing them as the backbone of governance and the driving force behind policy implementation.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour new positions demand nothing short of excellence. You are pivotal to ensuring continuity and efficiency in governance,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Governor Yahaya reaffirmed his administration\u2019s dedication to reforming the civil service for improved performance.<\/p>\n
