Manchester United<\/a> U18 coaches are sweating on the fitness of promising Nigerian striker Dillon Hoogewerf ahead of their next league match.<\/p>\n

The former Ajax Amsterdam whizkid had to be substituted in the 24th minute in their 4-3 loss to Liverpool in the U18 Premier League on Saturday after suffering an injury.<\/p>\n

Hoogewerf was looking lively and had come close to scoring before he was replaced by the pacy Republic of Ireland youth-teamer of Nigerian descent Deji Sotona.<\/p>\n

The Manchester United U18 number 9 has been a key player for the side in the new season, having started each of their last three games in the league and was a non-playing substitute for the U23s when they faced West Ham United on Friday.<\/p>\n

Hoogewerf could also miss out on representing the Netherlands U17 side in their upcoming matches against France though the squad list has not been announced by the KNVB.<\/p>\n
