{"id":150346,"date":"2025-02-14T22:22:34","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T21:22:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/so-safe-arrests-4-illegal-immigrants-from-cameroon-chad-in-ogun"},"modified":"2025-02-14T22:22:34","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T21:22:34","slug":"so-safe-arrests-4-illegal-immigrants-from-cameroon-chad-in-ogun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/so-safe-arrests-4-illegal-immigrants-from-cameroon-chad-in-ogun","title":{"rendered":"So-Safe arrests 4 illegal immigrants from Cameroon, Chad in Ogun"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps, has apprehended four nationals of Cameroon and Chad for entering the state illegally.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects are Dorooumouna Brosia, a 23-year-old Cameroonian, Hassan Bukhari, a Cameroonian; Saleh Sakhair, a 27-year-old Chadian; and 23 years old Mahamat Moudaina, brother to Saleh.<\/p>\n<p>They were arrested at about 8:00 am on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement issued by the Corps Commander, Soji Ganzallo, through the Public Relations Officer, Moruf Yusuf, on Friday, the arrest followed an intelligence received by the operatives.<\/p>\n<p>Ganzallo stated that the Cameroonian and Chadian nationals had already boarded a taxi heading to Lafenwa, Abeokuta, before they were apprehended unhurt.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that on interrogation to determine their intentions and those who facilitated their entry, the suspects confessed that two of them, both Cameroonians, had been in Ibadan for over four months, awaiting the arrival of their counterparts from Chad.<\/p>\n<p>The commander noted that a Chadian national named Hassan Seid, a resident of Ibadan who had been living and working in Lafenwa, invited and directed them to proceed to Ogun State.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cAt about 0800hrs on February 13, 2025, the state operations team received intelligence that some Cameroonian and Chadian nationals had boarded a taxi heading to Lafenwa, Abeokuta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team immediately swung into action, traced the suspects to Lafenwa, and apprehended them unhurt before they could alight from the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn interrogation they revealed that a Chadian national named Hassan Seid, a resident of Ibadan who had been living and working in Lafenwa, invited and directed them to proceed to Ogun State.
