Adedokun, had earlier, on October 25, 2023, nullified the selection and appointment of Olaoye as the Soun of Ogbomoso.<\/p>\n<p>This ruling followed a court case instituted by one of the contestants for the position, Prince Kabir Olaoye.<\/p>\n<p>The claimant sought the nullification of Olaoye\u2019s installation, arguing that the selection process did not comply with the provisions of the Soun Chieftaincy Declaration of 1958.<\/p>\n<p>The High Court, in its ruling, noted that the selection of Olaoye was marred by irregularities.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan on Tuesday affirmed the selection and installation of Olaoye.<\/p>\n<p>A three-member panel of justices, led by Justice Yargata Nimpar, resolved all ten grounds of appeal in favor of Olaoye.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
