Yusuf Galambi, has officially defected from the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing internal crises within his former party.<\/p>\n<p>The Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, read Galambi\u2019s defection letter during Thursday\u2019s plenary session in Abuja, where he welcomed the lawmaker, who represents Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State, into the APC fold. Abbas also urged members of the ruling party to embrace their new colleague.<\/p>\n<p>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the National Assembly has recently witnessed a wave of defections, with several lawmakers shifting allegiance to the APC from opposition parties.<\/p>\n<p>Among the latest defections, Rep. Amos Magaji, representing Zangon Kataf Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, recently moved from the People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP) to APC, while Rep.
