the Dream Team VII have stepped up their preparations for the return leg of their U23 Africa Cup of Nations<\/a> qualifier against Sudan with a training session in Asaba this morning.<\/p>\n

The players, who arrived in Asaba from Abuja on Saturday afternoon, departed their hotel to the stadium at approximately 0630 hours and returned three hours later.<\/p>\n

Former Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali was part of this morning’s workout having linked up with the squad yesterday.<\/p>\n

With the exception of Akwa United defender Etiboy Akpan who complained of being ill, all the players in camp participated in the training session.<\/p>\n

The initial prognosis is that the fullback will resume training with the team in the afternoon, with the players expected to leave for training at 1530 hours.<\/p>\n

Regarding the availability of Orji Okonkwo and David Okereke who were handed late call-ups, nothing has changed as both players are set to miss the game against Sudan.<\/p>\n
