Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Niger State Police Command has initiated internal administrative disciplinary action against the officers responsible for accidentally shooting immigration personnel, Christiana Oladimeji, during a mob situation in Minna on 21 February 2025.<\/p>\n

This was disclosed when the police hierarchy in the state visited Oladimeji at the Specialist Hospital in Minna.<\/p>\n

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Administration, Aminu Garba, who represented Commissioner of Police Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, inquired about the condition of the officer, who is currently recuperating in the hospital\u2019s Intensive Care Unit.<\/p>\n

He informed her family that the Niger State Government had provided financial support of N1 million towards the victim\u2019s medical treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate the state government for its continued kind gestures and support to the police command and security agencies in the state,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

He commended the victim\u2019s family for their patience, care, and support, assuring them that the police command would stand by them throughout the treatment period.<\/p>\n

He also acknowledged the strong synergy and cordial relationship between the Police and Immigration Service, and other security agencies in the state, pledging to sustain the collaboration.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he reiterated that the officers involved in the incident are currently undergoing internal administrative disciplinary action.<\/p>\n
