Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>As tension continues to rise in the Lagos State House of Assembly, 35 members of the House arrived at the Ikeja High Court on Friday morning.<\/p>\n

The lawmakers were taken to court by Mudashiru Obasa, who is challenging his removal as the Speaker of the Assembly.<\/p>\n

Friday was fixed for the hearing of the case as the tussle in the Assembly continues.<\/p>\n

Obasa was removed while away in the U.S. a few weeks ago, and the lawmakers elected Hon. Mojisola Meranda to take over from him as Speaker.<\/p>\n

Obasa stormed the Assembly yesterday, claiming to have returned as the Speaker.<\/p>\n

The case is being presided over by Hon. Justice Y.R. Pinheiro.<\/p>\n
