Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Lagos State University, LASU, has demanded swift justice for its former student, Adedamola Ogunbode, popularly known as Horlar, who was allegedly murdered by a prophet in the Ojo area of Lagos.<\/p>\n

LASU made the demand in a statement released on Tuesday by the university\u2019s Deputy Registrar and Coordinator, Centre for Information and Public Relations, Oluwayemisi Thomas-Onashile.<\/p>\n

The institution expressed deep sorrow over the incident.<\/p>\n

Ogunbode, a 28-year-old Political Science Education graduate, had been missing since January 16, 2025, before security agencies discovered his mutilated body buried within a church compound.<\/p>\n

The suspect, a prophet, has been arrested and is currently assisting the police with their investigation.<\/p>\n

The university management extended condolences to Ogunbode\u2019s family, friends, and colleagues, calling his death a significant loss to the LASU community.<\/p>\n

Condemning the brutal act, LASU urged authorities to ensure that those responsible face the full force of the law.<\/p>\n

The institution also advised students to remain calm while investigations continue and encouraged vigilance against suspicious activities.<\/p>\n

The university reaffirmed its commitment to student safety and pledged cooperation with law enforcement agencies to maintain a secure environment on campus.<\/p>\n
