Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has urged Muslim faithful to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for peace, unity, and an end to terrorism and banditry in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Musa made the call on Thursday in Abuja during an Iftar (breaking of fast) with Muslim personnel of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that collective prayers and unity were essential in overcoming the nation\u2019s security challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a lot of people that don\u2019t mean us well, for whatever reasons they have, but God Almighty is with us, and He will never let us down,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The defence chief urged Nigerians to remain united and work together to build a prosperous nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to continue to stay together, walk together, and love one another. That is the only way we can make this country grow,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Musa also called for divine intervention against those perpetrating insecurity across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll those evil ones planning evil, whether they are bandits, terrorists, or kidnappers, God will expose all of them and those supporting them,\u201d he declared.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, the Chief Imam of the Defence Headquarters, Navy Capt. Gidado Migdad, described Ramadan as a period of spiritual and moral awakening.<\/p>\n

He encouraged Muslims to take advantage of the holy month to draw closer to God by showing kindness to the less privileged and empathizing with the poor.<\/p>\n
