{"id":154488,"date":"2025-03-09T22:37:48","date_gmt":"2025-03-09T21:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/kwara-police-confirm-murder-of-miyatti-allah-leader-order-investigation"},"modified":"2025-03-20T23:46:17","modified_gmt":"2025-03-20T22:46:17","slug":"kwara-police-confirm-murder-of-miyatti-allah-leader-order-investigation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/kwara-police-confirm-murder-of-miyatti-allah-leader-order-investigation","title":{"rendered":"Kwara: Police confirm murder of Miyatti Allah leader, order investigation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Kwara State Police Command on Sunday confirmed the murder of Alhaji Idris Abubakar, the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Kwara State, who was shot dead on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the entrance of his residence in Oke Ose, Oke-Oyi, Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>A statement by the spokesperson of the command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, in Ilorin on Sunday, said police detectives responded swiftly and recovered five expended 7.62mm shells, while his remains have been deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital Mortuary.<\/p>\n<p>The State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, has also launched a full investigation into the bloody incident, with the Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, assuring that the perpetrators will be brought to justice. He urged the public to remain calm and provide useful information.<\/p>\n<p>Idris was reportedly shot dead at about 10 p.m. by unknown gunmen while entering his house in Oke Ose town.<\/p>\n<p>His janazah was conducted on Sunday at his Zango-Kulende residence, and he has been buried.<\/p>\n<p>A statement on Sunday by the Miyetti Allah Association\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Muhammad Kangodabe, announcing the passing of Idris, said, \u201cWith deep sorrow, we announce the tragic passing of our esteemed chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Kwara State chapter, Alhaji Idris Abubakar Sakaina, who was killed by unknown gunmen yesterday at 10 p.m.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The body prayed that Allah grants his family and loved ones the strength to bear the loss.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
