Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended three suspects involved in a robbery incident near the Egba\/Odeda High School, in Odeda local government area of the state.<\/p>\n

The suspects are 23-year-old Femi Adesina of Lagos State, 19-year-old Lawal Olasunkanmi of Lagos State and 28-year-old Shola Sunkanmi of Ibadan, Oyo State.<\/p>\n

The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, made this known in a statement made available on Monday.<\/p>\n

Odutola said the suspects had robbed a 21-year-old man, Akanji Lekan, of his<\/p>\n

iPhone 15 Pro Max valued at N2,200,000 and Samsung X9 valued at N220,000 on Sunday.<\/p>\n

According to her, the victim reported that he was walking through the area when six men on two Bajaj Boxer motorcycles intercepted him, forcibly snatched his bag containing the phones.<\/p>\n

She stated that on getting the report, operatives of the command were swiftly mobilized and three of the suspects were apprehended along Osiele Road while attempting to escape on a red Bajaj boxer motorcycle registered as KSF 213 QN.<\/p>\n

Odutola said, \u201cOn March 9, 2025, at about 7:10 p.m a victim, Akanji Lekan \u2018m\u2019 (21 years old), reported at the Odeda Police Division that he was attacked near Egba\/Odeda High School, Odeda.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccording to his statement, while walking through the area, six men on two Bajaj Boxer motorcycles intercepted him, forcibly snatched his bag containing: One iPhone 15 Pro Max valued at N2,200,000 and one Samsung X9 phone valued at N220,000<\/p>\n

\u201cAs soon as the police intercepted the complaints, they swiftly mobilized and pursued the suspects.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the assistance of members of the public, three of the suspects were apprehended along Osiele Road while attempting to escape on a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle (Reg. No. KSF 213 QN)\u201d.<\/p>\n

Odutola noted that the suspects on interrogation<\/p>\n

confessed to the crime and disclosed that they had already handed over the stolen phones to their accomplices, simply identified as Noah, Opeyemi, and Ibrahim, who managed to escape.<\/p>\n

She stated that the recovered Bajaj motorcycle had been taken to custody as evidence, and efforts were ongoing to track down the fleeing accomplices.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Command has urged members of the public to remain vigilant and avoid carrying expensive valuables in isolated areas.<\/p>\n
