Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Late Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Kwara State chapter, Idris Abubakar Sakaina, was assassinated barely after eight months of his election, DAILY POST reports.<\/p>\n

The election was held on September 7, 2024, according to informed sources in the association.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old late chairman had four other contestants for the chairmanship post, but, he emerged victorious on the basis of consensus, an insider informed DAILY POST on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Idris Abubakar Sakaina was murdered in cold blood by gunmen on Saturday at about 10 pm at the front of his residence in Oke-Ose, Oke-Oyi town, Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

As police launched an investigation into the murder, with a vow to fish out the masterminds, the development has thrown the members of the association into a mourning mood as no motive could be linked to the bloody act.<\/p>\n

According to the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, who confirmed the development, police operatives swung into action and recovered five expended 7.62mm shells at the crime scene.<\/p>\n

The deceased, survived by two wives and six children, was buried on Sunday morning after the janazat Islamic rite.<\/p>\n
