Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Presidency has claimed Nigeria\u2019s Chief of Staff, Bola Tinubu is currently focused on positively impacting the lives of citizens Nigerians and not the next general elections.<\/p>\n

In a statement by the Special Adviser to Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare on X, the presidency said that Tinubu\u2019s achievement would at the end of his tenure, be how he has been able to bring development to the economy.<\/p>\n

The statement is coming after the growing political tension and economic hardship in the country.<\/p>\n

Efforts to form a coalition that could challenge Tinubu in 2027 are on top gear, as former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, decamped from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Social Democratic Party, SDP.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Tinubu is not worried about the next election, he\u2019s worried about the shared prosperity that he can bring to Nigerians, the statement on X said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s worried about how the reforms he has put in place will yield the necessary impact. He is concerned about what happens to the economy of this country eventually. That\u2019s the focus. \u201cWe\u2019ve seen our foreign reserves go up. We\u2019ve seen inflation come down. We\u2019ve seen our trade surplus go up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen exports go up and imports drop. We\u2019ve seen the investments that have been attracted -over 50 billion. We are seeing prices dropping,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
