{"id":156204,"date":"2025-03-23T11:10:05","date_gmt":"2025-03-23T10:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/2027-pdp-will-sack-apc-nass-members-in-delta-central-chairman"},"modified":"2025-04-04T12:29:19","modified_gmt":"2025-04-04T11:29:19","slug":"2027-pdp-will-sack-apc-nass-members-in-delta-central-chairman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/2027-pdp-will-sack-apc-nass-members-in-delta-central-chairman","title":{"rendered":"2027: PDP will sack APC NASS members in Delta Central \u2013 Chairman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, has vowed to sack Delta central federal constituency lawmakers in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>He stated this at the inauguration of Ughelli North\/Ughelli South\/Udu Federal Constituency Forum held in Ughelli, on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>He congratulated the people of Ughelli\/Udu Federal Constituency on coming together to ensure victory for the PDP in 2027 when the all Progressive Congress, (APC) federal lawmakers will vacate office.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Governor Oborevwori had done well in the development of the state, adding that the people of Delta South and all other parts of the state remained irrevocably committed to his re-election in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, in his address said zoning of political offices, particularly the Office of the Governor, had long played a crucial role in shaping political power dynamics in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Onyeme said as the 2027 elections approach, zoning remained a vital factor in Delta\u2019s political stability and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP\u2019s continued dominance in the state.<\/p>\n<p>The Deputy Governor emphasized that the zoning system reinforced the PDP\u2019s stronghold by ensuring a balanced and equitable distribution of political offices among the state\u2019s diverse ethnic groups.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDelta is a very peaceful state and since 1999, we were the first to embrace governorship rotation and it has been working very well for us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll previous Governors did eight years and this time around, it will not be different because Governor Oborevwori \u2018dey work and Deltans dey see am&#8217;\u201d, he stated.<\/p>\n<p>The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, in his remarks at the event, said, \u201cwhat we have done today is to show that the Federal Constituency stands united to return Governor Oborevwori to Government House in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are all united and I can assure you that the PDP will win the entire eight local government areas in Delta Central.
