Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Chairman of the Senate Committee on Electoral Matters, Barrister Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, has expressed sadness at the death of Abisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, the eldest daughter of the immediate past governor of Oyo State, late Abiola Ajimobi.<\/p>\n

Alli described Abisola\u2019s passing as heartbreaking.<\/p>\n

Alli reacted to Abisola\u2019s death in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Akeem Abas. The statement was made available on Thursday in Ibadan.<\/p>\n

Abisola died in the early hours of Thursday in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Her father, Ajimobi ruled the state as governor between 2011 and 2019.<\/p>\n

Alli who represents Oyo South Senatorial District, maintained that the death of the daughter of the former governor is a tragic and painful loss, not just to her family but to Oyo State and the nation at large.<\/p>\n

The All Progressives Congress, APC, chieftain while speaking further noted that the deceased served as Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu before her death.<\/p>\n

He added that she was a brilliant and accomplished professional whose contributions would be sorely missed.<\/p>\n

\u201cBisola was a woman of grace, intellect, and dedication, who upheld the values of excellence and service.<\/p>\n

\u201cHer sudden departure is deeply heartbreaking. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and comforts her loved ones in this difficult time,\u201d Alli added.<\/p>\n
