IPOB<\/a> had yesterday dragged Gowon, Obasanjo, and the Attorney-General of the Federation to a Federal High Court sitting in Enugu.<\/p>\nIn suit No. FHC\/EN\/CS\/103\/2019, coming up on October 2, 2019, demanding that the court decides on issues relating to self-determination, regional autonomy, and roles the respondents played during the civil war, referendum, among other things.<\/p>\n
Declaring on behalf of the group, acting leader of BNYL, Ebuta Ogar Takon, in a statement\u00a0 on Friday, said: \u201cThe case was instituted to give the struggle a legal shape, even though it might be hard to defeat the defendants in their own Court.\u201d<\/p>\n
Takon advised the Legal Team to consider the International Court as it\u2019s a final destination.<\/p>\n
A London-based lawyer, and pioneer of CG-IPOB, Barr. Emeka Emekesiri had dragged the defendants to court, praying the court to determine whether the Igbo should leave or remain in Nigeria.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
