Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The youth wing of the Idoma apex sociocultural group, Ochetoha K\u2019Idoma, has raised the alarm over the increasing insecurity in Otukpo, Benue State, as suspected herdsmen continue their deadly attacks on the community.<\/p>\n

This escalating violence has led to kidnappings, killings, and the forced displacement of residents, leaving the people of Otukpo in a state of despair.<\/p>\n

Comrade Magaji Mike Alidu, President of the Ochetoha K\u2019Idoma Youth Wing Worldwide, in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST on Tuesday, appealed to Governor Hyacinth Alia, Deputy Governor Samuel Odeh, and other authorities to take swift action to protect the residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe beg of you to come to our aid. Otukpo is under siege by kidnappers. Tonight, another person has been kidnapped from Asa in Otukpo.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t take it anymore. Our people are living in fear, and we\u2019re losing hope. We urge you to take immediate action to rescue the kidnapped victim and restore peace to our community.\u201d<\/p>\n

The latest surge in violence has caused widespread panic, with residents fleeing their homes to escape the attacks.<\/p>\n

The community is in desperate need of government intervention, as reported kidnappings and murders have intensified in recent days.<\/p>\n

A video obtained showed distraught residents desperately fleeing their homes, calling for immediate security reinforcements to restore peace and prevent further loss of life.<\/p>\n
