Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Super Eagles of Nigeria moved up one spot in the latest men\u2019s ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) on Thursday.<\/p>\n

It was the first men\u2019s ranking released by FIFA in 2025.<\/p>\n

The West Africans moved from 44th to 43rd position.<\/p>\n

Eric Chelle\u2019s side, however, dropped to sixth position in Africa.<\/p>\n

Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Algeria, and Co\u0302te d\u2019Ivoire are the top five ranked countries in Africa.<\/p>\n

The Super Eagles were in action twice in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe last month.<\/p>\n

Eric Chelle\u2019s side defeated the Amavubi 2-0 at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali.<\/p>\n

The Super Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe\u2019s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.<\/p>\n

World champions Argentina maintained the top position in the ranking, with Spain, France, England, and Brazil keeping their places in the top five.<\/p>\n
