{"id":158952,"date":"2025-04-08T23:19:48","date_gmt":"2025-04-08T22:19:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/popular-hotelier-socialite-murdered-in-ondo"},"modified":"2025-04-15T12:19:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T11:19:05","slug":"popular-hotelier-socialite-murdered-in-ondo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/popular-hotelier-socialite-murdered-in-ondo","title":{"rendered":"Popular hotelier, socialite murdered in Ondo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A popular socialite and hotelier has been killed by unknown persons suspected to be assassins in Akure, Ondo State capital.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel owner, Adesoji Adeleye, was stabbed to death in one of the rooms of his Klazz Five Hotel situated in Arakale axis of Akure metropolis.<\/p>\n<p>The armed men were said to have sneaked into the hotel where Adeleye slept over after which they stabbed him.<\/p>\n<p>The men were said to have overpowered the hotelier and stabbed him severally before he died, leaving him in the pool of his blood.<\/p>\n<p>A close associate of the deceased revealed that he was with Adeleye on Monday night with a promise to meet again today but expressed surprise over the killing of his friend of many years.<\/p>\n<p>A source within the community, however, said the incident was reported to the police while detectives from the State Police Command visited the scene of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO) Alayande Olayinka, said, \u201cWe have sent a team of detectives to the place and we are on the trail of the perpetrators and as soon as we apprehend them, they will be brought to book.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
