Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Katsina State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs has announced that joint security operatives have rescued 10 kidnapped victims, including six women and four men in the state.<\/p>\n

They were abducted from Kiroro, Kabbi, and Dogon Marke communities, Musawa Local Government Area of the state by armed bandits on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

A statement by the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Mu\u2019azu, made available to newsmen on Wednesday, noted that, \u201cBuilding on credible intelligence received from community members, a well-coordinated joint operation was launched by the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (C-Watch) and the Nigeria Police Force in Musawa Local Government Area at approximately 10:00 PM on April 8, 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the operation, which took place in Gidan Marke, resulted in the killing of one bandit and the safe rescue of all kidnapped victims, who have since been reunited with their families.<\/p>\n

According to him: \u201cThis successful rescue operation justifies the effectiveness of the community intelligence gathering and the growing synergy between Katsina security agencies.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement also read, \u201cThe Ministry, on behalf of Governor Dikko Radda, commend the brave men of the Nigeria Police Force and the Community Watch Corps for their swift action and professionalism in this operation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt should be emphasised that the State government remains resolute in its commitment to protecting citizens from criminal elements. More importantly, the onslaught against the enemies of the state will be sustained and intensified. The Government will continue to deploy all necessary resources to ensure the safety and security of all communities across Katsina State.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also urge citizens to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies, as community cooperation remains vital in the ongoing fight against banditry and kidnapping.\u201d<\/p>\n
